If you look in the dictionary, the word nourish means to promote the growth of. In other, words
it doesn’t just mean food. Growth encompasses the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual
areas of our life. Unless we are addressing all of these parts of ourselves, it is difficult to
be really tuned in to what our body is telling us. Most of us wake up, stumble to the kitchen,
and grab some form of caffeine to help us get out of the fog we feel. In reality, if we are
nourishing ourselves well, we should wake up at dawn raring to go, experience high energy
all day while enjoying mental clarity and emotional poise. This in turn, allows us to achieve
the objectivity to make choices about our day to day habits that affect our health and energy.
Many of us want to exercise more and make healthier food choices. We really do want to
change! But, no matter what we try (or how hard we try), we always seem to stop short
of our long-term goals.
Coaching is a unique service. It's a partnership between the Client and the Coach, designed
specifically to help the you identify and break through the blocks that keep you from achieving
exercise and nutrition goals. This relationship goes far beyond traditional diet and exercise
recommendations.
We all think we know how we should eat. But perfect human nutrition needs to be based on
getting 2000 calories a day from food that completeely meets our needs for vitamins,
minerals, and the right proportion of healthy fats and protein. But what are healthy fats?
What are the right proteins? What foods give us all the right nutrients while not doing harm,
causing free radical production or causing allergic reactions? And why do we not lose weight in spite limiting calories? And why doesn't ALL that cardio exercise not work to take off the pounds?
Because we are not well nourished! We eat too many empty carbs, not enough foods that
truly nourish your body. We eat the wrong fats, not enough of the good fats, too much processed
foods. We find we are so exhausted that it is hard to make the effort to cook and prepare
foods...let alone exercise. But when you take in enough calories from the right foods, you can't
NOT exercise, or dance or play!
